Market Reports
How to read our market report and recap:
The market recap summarizes all the activity from today’s sale, highlighting head counts, price trends, and standout lots so you can quickly see how each class performed and where buyer demand was strongest.

How we sell livestock and how they are displayed on the market report:
When cattle are sold by the cwt (hundredweight), you’re looking at a per-100-lb price. To calculate the total value of an animal, divide its weight in pounds by 100, then multiply by the cwt price.
For example, a 430-lb steer at $400/cwt brings:
430lb÷100×$400 = $1,720 per head.
When livestock are sold by the head, you’re shown a flat price per animal and it reflects what the animal sold for per head, the the livestock are not sold on a per weight basis.
